Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Lewis Business College in Detroit, MI in 1942.  The vision of our Founders was to promote higher scholastic standards, personal growth, career awareness and to provide opportunities for community service.

Under the leadership of the Southeast Regional Director Brenda Bennett, Delta Psi Chapter of Georgia was chartered, in Atlanta Georgia, on March 26, 2010.  The Charter members of Delta Psi are:  Nora A. Coes, Patsy Pearson-Harvey, Rena Fletcher, Rosetta Noble, Drewnell Thomas, Barbara Triggs, Brenda Moore, and Michelle Townsend.  Since our Charter, Lola Settle and Martha Wheeler-Fair transferred into Delta Psi in 2011.  In 2012, Sonda Bradfield and Elsie Jefferson re-activated to the Chapter.  In 2013, Beverly Ponder and Twana Richardson joined our Chapter.  Unfortunately, one of our own, Rosetta Noble, transitioned to a better life. We now stand thirteen strong.

We strive to achieve the vision of our Founders and for three years, we have provided services to improve the quality of life of individuals in communities throughout Georgia.  We are a family-oriented Sorority and through the support of our auxiliary groups (SHADs, Bee-Ettes, Senords, and Eta Kids), we collectively strive to live up to our motto, “Not For Ourselves, But For Others”.

Through our volunteer activities and charitable donations, we support services for Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention, Career Awareness,  Domestic Violence Prevention, Developmentally and Intellectually Disabled Citizens (ARC of Georgia), provide scholarships and serves as role models for the youth.  Delta Psi of Georgia members are affiliated with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), United Negro College Fund (UNCF), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), United Way, AARP, and Thurgood Marshall Foundation.

Delta Psi of Georgia holds ten monthly meetings, on the second Saturday, during the months of September – June at 10:00 a.m. in the Metro Atlanta area.
